Introduction:
On September 24, 2022, I went to a chess tournament at Madison Elementary School and was excited about it. There were 5 matches for rated kids and 4 matches for non-rated kids. I was in rated under 500.
Games Played:
Out of all 5 game I won 3 games and I lost 2, this is because I got paired up with tricky players. I was very upset about this so after I saw my final standing, I knew I needed to practice way more than last. Below is the picture of my standing after all the games in this tournament.
Awards:
I barely got a tenth-place award at the ceremony along with 8 other players. All of them tied for the same score as me so we all got tenth place because of tiebreakers. If I had won 1 more game, I would have tied for 2nd and would have gotten 7th place.
