On December 13th, I went to the Shelby Center at UAH for a math competition. This competition had a very different style from what I was used to. First, we only had 30 minutes to complete the test. Second, students from different grades were in the same room, each taking different tests. The questions were also different types, and we had to write our answers directly on the same paper as the questions. It was also 15 questions instead of 25. It was a unique experience that challenged me in new ways.
I didn’t win any individual awards because I didn’t realize the test was only 30 minutes long and ended up taking my time. Despite that, I was part of a team that won 3rd place
